We make Earth-friendly products using cutting-edge ecological discoveries. We’ve gone beyond recycling. Our premiere Tree Free paper products are made from sugarcane fiber. After the sugar is squeezed from the cane, historically, the crushed stalk was burned or discarded. No longer. We’ve done away with the environmental nightmare of petroleum-based plastics that take hundreds of years to break down, contaminate our soil, groundwater and oceans. Ultra Green cups and utensils are made from cornstarch. All of our products are 100% biodegradable, compostable, and sustainable.
We’re a company built by three men with decades of business success. We thought it was time for us to give back in a positive, constructive way and decided on a green business, but not any green business. Our goal is to develop fully sustainable, biodegradable, compostable products and to do so in a way that will expand the rapidly-developing green marketplace.
When you walk into your local grocery store or mass retailer looking for disposable plates, cups, and cutlery, you’re going to find products made of paper, Styrofoam or plastic made from oil. Our goal is to completely replace that product with eco-friendly sugarcane paper and cornstarch plastic.
We are eliminating the use of petroleum-based products. We are reducing energy consumption, water pollution, air pollution, and waste going to landfills and incinerators. We have less impact on global warming.
“We want our children and grandchildren to inherit a clean world of grandeur and beauty, not an oil-dependent world littered with toxic landfills, devastating climate change, and polluted waterways. We came to make a difference, and we’re doing just that.”
Our Tree Free sugarcane paper products biodegrade or compost in 60-90 days. Our cornstarch cups and utensils biodegrade or compost in 150 days.
You don’t have to make sacrifices to be green. Our premiere products withstand heat, hot liquids, are oil resistant, are safe for microwave and freezer—all made in full compliance with US Food and Drug Administration guidelines. We are competitively priced.

Ultra Green products begin as seeds of sugarcane or corn planted in the Earth. The plant fibers become paper and cornstarch, from which we make Ultra Green products. When our products are composted they biodegrade into organic matter and once again return to the Earth.
Support the environment by shopping at the stores in your area that carry Ultra Green products. You don’t have to buy papers products made from trees or plastic products made from petroleum.
If your store doesn’t offer Ultra Green, ask them to carry it.

What is sugarcane fiber?
It is the cellulose fiber that remains after the juice has been squeezed from the sugarcane stalk. It is called bagasse. Historically, the fiber was discarded or incinerated—creating air pollution.
Why use sugarcane fiber?
Tree Free sugarcane fiber is 100% compostable, sustainable and biodegrades in 90-120 days.
How is sugarcane paper made?
sugarcane fiber—bagasse—is formed under intense pressure and high temperatures. It is sterilized, sanitized and conforms to U.S. Food & Drug Administration guidelines.
Is there a difference in quality from traditional products?
No. On the contrary, we get many compliments on the quality and durability of our products.
Do Ultra Green factories use toxic elemental chlorine in the bleaching process?
No. We use a closed-loop ECF (elementary chlorine free) hydrogen peroxide and oxygenation process.
What does biodegradable mean?
Biodegradable is the process by which organic substances are broken down by other living organisms. All Ultra Green products are 100% biodegradable and will break down in a landfill, home composter or commercial composter.
How long will it take Ultra Green products to break down?
On average, our sugarcane fiber products break down in 60-90 days. Our bioplastic products normally break down in less than 150 days.
Can I put Ultra Green products in my home compost?
Yes. Ultra Green products will biodegrade at the same rate as garden waste in a home composting system.
What are Ultra Green’s bioplastic utensils and cups made from?
They are made from cornstarch. Regular plastic is made from petroleum. Ultra Green products are compostable and biodegradable. Our products are sustainable as corn is a renewable resource.
Do your bioplastic products contain any harmful phthalates or BPA?
No.
How long will the bioplastic products take to decompose or compost?
Less than 150 days. They can be composted at home, as well.
How well do Ultra Green bioplastics handle heat?
Ultra Green tableware will handle hot food and beverages up to 190 degrees Fahrenheit. They are microwave and freezer safe.
What if I am allergic to corn?
The extreme heat used in processing destroys immunologically reactive profilin. Thus, our products should not cause an allergic reaction.
How am I helping the environment by using Ultra Green products?
- You save trees. Every year more than 900 million trees are cut down to supply American paper mills. Absolutely no forests are destroyed to make our sugarcane paper. The birds and wildlife keep their homes.
- You reduce greenhouse gases. More trees absorb more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
- You are keeping other greenhouse gas pollutants out of the atmosphere, because we use sugarcane fiber that would otherwise be burned.
- You reduce landfills by using our products which are biodegradable and compostable.
- You keep petroleum-based plastics out of the environment and landfills. They take hundreds of years to break down and leach toxic substances into the soil and groundwater.
- You save oil for more important uses.
- You reduce your carbon footprint.
What about conventional paper plates and paper cups? Aren't they also biodegradable?
Conventional paper plates and cups are made from wood fiber which requires cutting down our forests. Many food paper products have a petroleum-based emulsion applied to them. They degrade at a much slower rate than Ultra Green’s untreated product.
What’s wrong with plastic and Styrofoam?
Plastic and Styrofoam are non-biodegradable petroleum products. They remain in the environment for hundreds of years and leach toxic substances into the soil and groundwater.
